On Friday's edition of the Daily Fantasy podcast, the Helpers discuss injuries, optimal lineups and bad fantasy advice for Week 7.
Key injuries — Antonio Gates, make sure he practices Friday. LeDarius Green is a steal at $2,900 if Gates doesn't play. Tyrod Taylor and Sammy Watkins are both out.
Optimal lineups
Quarterback — Carson Palmer vs. Baltimore Ravens
Current DraftKings value: $6,700
Why he's a good option this week: The Baltimore Ravens rank dead last against the pass, made 49ers Colin Kaepernick look good a week ago and are a shell of what they once were on defense this season. Palmer and the Cardinals are coming off a tough loss and are primed to rebound against a bad team this week. Consider stacking Palmer with wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
Running back — Devonta Freeman at Tennessee Titans
Current DraftKings value: $7,900
Why he's a good option this week: There hasn't been a team yet that can stop Freeman. Continue to ride the hot hand until he no longer is.
Running back — Frank Gore vs. New Orleans Saints
Current DraftKings value: $4,900
Why he's a good option: The Colts finally strung together a game of efficient offense and the Saints have given up monster games to running backs of both the Eagles and Falcons in recent weeks. This game has high-scoring potential and the Colts are favored at home.
Wide Receiver — Antonio Brown at Kansas City
Current DraftKings value: $7,900
Why he's a good option this week: If Ben Roethlisberger plays, you have to play Antonio Brown in your DFS lineup. These two have chemistry like Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis in "Friends with benefits." As of right now, Roethlisberger has been limited in practice, so we'd stay away if Big Ben doesn't start.
Wide Receiver — Albert Wilson vs. Pittsburgh
Current DraftKings value: $3,000
Why he's a good option this week: The Steelers defense is bad and the Chiefs will be without Jeremy Maclin this week in all likelihood.
Tight end — Jordan Reed vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Current DraftKings value: $4,200
Why he's a good option this week: Reed isn't guaranteed to play just yet, but he's been practicing all week and it's looking like he has a good shot to. The Redskins are in a must-win situation as they trail both the Giants and Eagles in the NFC East. They get a bad Buccaneers team at home plus quarterback Kirk Cousins will likely favor Reed as DeSean Jackson is still out.
Defense — St. Louis Rams vs. Cleveland Browns
Current DraftKings value: $2,400
Why they're a good option this week: The Rams play much better at home and their defensive front could really cause problems for Cleveland's suspect run game. Though quarterback Josh McCown has played well in recent weeks, the Rams now have a strong running game with Todd Gurley III to eat up clock. This game should be low scoring with a low over/under at 42.
Defense — Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans
Current DraftKings value: $2,700
Why they're a good option this week: The Dolphins are coming off their best defensive performance of the season and looked better under interim coach Dan Campbell. THey get a bad Texans offense at home this week. Now, DeAndre Hopkins has been lights out and Arian Foster is becoming more and more potent, but there's still upside against quarterback Brian Hoyer.
